Villa Hikaru one of the original villas to be built in Treasure Beach has just been completely and lovingly renovated. Filled with charm and cool breezes the 6 bedroom, 5 bathrooms (3 bathrooms offering outside showers) villa sits atop a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
This U-shaped villa holds a large shaded verandah in the center of the house, with 4 of the bedrooms exiting onto the verandah. One bedroom has a queen size bed and 3 bedrooms have options of two single beds or a king-size bed.
Garfield Cottage, a separate cottage located just behind the main villa has been gorgeously restored into the perfect tiny house. It offers 2 bedrooms, one with two single beds which can be converted into a king-size bed, and a second bedroom offering a single bunk bed and a small table with two chairs. There is a kitchenette, bathroom, a screened in porch for each bedroom and lovely deck. This is only rented with the main villa to assure your privacy during your stay. With the addition of Garfield Cottage Villa Hikaru now comfortably houses 12!
Venesia and Cedrena will prepare delicious breakfasts and dinners each day allowing you more time for rest and relaxation.
Patrick makes sure the grounds, gazebo, 2 decks and pool are all ready for your enjoyment.
A large gazebo sits right below the verandah, offering lots of comfy space for relaxing. To the left of the gazebo, follow the path to the shaded wooden deck furnished with an additional dining table and built in cushioned wooden benches. This space is perfect for watching the sunset. The seaside thatched gazebo is another great spot for relaxing and counting the waves. The pool area has a queen bed, table and chairs and lots of sun beds, allowing plenty of options for your relaxation pleasure.

I stayed at Hikaru with family last May…and just returned from another week there, post hurricane Melissa. While it was hard to drive through Black River and see the hurricane damage, once we arrived at Hikaru we were quickly reassured…the damage to the cliff along the coast was extensive, and yet the beach is much wider now and there is a new wooden deck and stairs to the beach. Outside of that, the villa was in perfect shape to welcome visitors…Venesia, Cedrina and Patrick took wonderful care of our group, down to fresh coconut water daily. One evening they cooked fried chicken and lobster for a group of Treasure Beach friends and musicians who gathered together to share an evening off of community repairs! The water was perfectly clear and warm, especially in the small shallow protected area we favor about 100 years down from the villa. Smurf’s Cafe is open, so is Jake’s and Jack Sprat’s and Lobster Pot…but the area is quiet right now as folks return. It really is a good time to go see your friends in Treasure Beach and bask at beautiful Villa Hikaru amongst the flowers and butterflies!!
I don't even know where to start... We spent 8 nights at Villa Hikaru in mid-march 2025. We weren't sure if Treasure Beach was ready for visitors after last summer's terrible hurricane, but it is! Villa Hikaru is amazing. The location is great. I understand that it is one of the older villas in Treasure Beach, but it is in outstanding condition. Its age gives it a certain grace, and the trees and plantings make it much more enjoyable than villas that lack shade. It was truly Venesia, Cedrena, and Patrick that made our stay the best ever. Their genuine kindness, attention to detail, and amazing food have caused us to plan to come back as soon as possible. Book through Treasure Tours and your trip will be seamless from airport to villa to tours and sadly back to the airport.
We chose Villa Hikaru for our family reunion recently. My children and I have stayed here many times before and we feel like part of the Treasure Tours Family, when we are here. The Manager and staff always ensure that we are comfortable.
The villa itself has direct access to the beach, with a beautiful natural garden with a large pool and sitting area under the large lignum vitae trees, plus a peaceful covered portico perfect for lounging, and playing games. Even when the days are hot, there is always a nice breeze that keeps the rooms and outdoor areas cool and comfortable.
When our kids were teenagers, they loved hanging out at the pool, walking on the beach each evening, and playing board games at nights. ten years later, they still enjoy these same activities. It is even better when they bring their friends along.
Thanks to the Treasure Tours team, who have always given such good service and kept the standards high. I highly recommend.

We were a family of 6 and absolutely loved our stay. The buildings and grounds are so thoughtfully designed and the cascade of garden sloping down to the beach was gorgeous. The panoramic ocean view and multiple nooks to relax in were a delight. And Vanessa's cooking made our vacation a slam dunk!
Such a lovely villa and home. We stayed for a week early January. The weather was perfect. The location on the beach is divine. Super safe (not deep) beach area and lovely sand.
The pool was beautiful and the tennis courts were fun for a casual game of tennis.
This villa provides very good value for the experience.
By far the highlight was the food. We have stayed at multiple villas in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean and Venisia is the best cook we have ever had. She cooks from scratch and everything she brings in is super fresh and high quality. Cedrina is lovely and also a fantastic cook.
Patrick keeps the place in pristine shape.
There are lots of stairs so keep that in mind. Its actually good for getting steps in with all the amazing food. Lots of beautiful birds visit the gardens. Super quiet location with the perfect amount of privacy. I loved our time here and would highly recommend.
villa hikaru is the epitome of paradise- perfectly situated for sunrises, sunsets, beach strolls and walks into town. the food is delicious and the villa and treasure tour team takes care of every need and desire with love and care.
Villa Hikaru is a dream. Tennis before breakfast, poolside naps, walks on the beach (and the beach sunsets!), plus delicious food cooked by Venesia. It’s all so wonderful that the vacation is never long enough! The house is wonderful, the beach is beautiful, and Patrick takes great care of the place.
We recently celebrated our matriarch's 80th birthday at Villa Hikaru. We had a lovely and meaningful experience together on this property that perfectly accommodated 5 adults and 4 children. From the seamless airport pick up, the incredible cooks and staff (Vanesia, Cedrina, and Patrick), to the sprawling mid century modern grounds with ample bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, spacious areas to lounge, private pool and tennis court, and beach access that is perfect for small kids, we have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. We were particularly grateful to Vanesia and Cedrina who were incredibly attentive and accommodated our children's severe dairy allergy. We hope to make this an annual trip for our family!
Our return to the villa after five years felt like a homecoming. The extraordinary staff, especially the wonderful Vanessa with her magical touch in the kitchen, and the pure indulgence of outdoor showers surrounded by lush landscapes, create an intimate connection. Yet, what truly captivates us about Villa Hikaru and Treasure Beach is the genuine essence of Jamaica. This place goes beyond the standard all-inclusive resort experience. With humble yet luxurious amenities and captivating ocean views, each visit feels like rediscovering paradise.
