Mbira

Perched on a point of land high above the sea, Mbira offers one of the most expansive and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea in all of Treasure Beach.  Walk down a path at the end of the vast yard and you are at the Billy’s Bay fishing beach!  Truly, the best of both worlds!

This newly polished villa offers 3 ensuite bedrooms (2 with outdoor showers), living area, TV room, 3 al fresco dining areas, a spacious covered verandah, pool and pool deck with large thatched gazebo with dining table, two small thatched huts, hammock under a large sea grape tree and a hidden scenic overlook area.

And if that isn’t enough, your personal masterful chefs, Jennifer and Nadine, will prepare breakfast and dinner for you each day.  Simply cover the cost of ingredients and let them handle the rest. Terry and Mark will keep the grounds immaculate and the pool crystal clear, providing a flawless setting for your relaxation and enjoyment.

Mbira comfortably accommodates up to six guests, featuring two bedrooms with luxurious king-size beds and a third bedroom with the flexibility of either two single beds or a king-size bed. Mbira is the perfect retreat for families or groups seeking both comfort and style.

Enjoy endless activities at Mbira! Take advantage of four complimentary bicycles to explore the charm of Treasure Beach, known as the Home of Community Tourism. Back at the villa, dive into fun with a variety of games, puzzles, and a ping pong table for lively entertainment. For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, unwind in one of the cozy lounge chairs, perfect for curling up with a good book or simply soaking in the stunning sea views.

So good

I cannot say enough nice things about Mbira, Treasure Tours and the lovely people of Treasure Beach. Mbira is positioned on a bluff overlooking the ocean with stunning views and everything you could ever need to unplug and relax. This house is the stuff of dreams. Huge kitchen. Multiple dining areas for larger groups. Beach access. A private pool. It has it all. Big hugs to Rebecca, Debbian, Terry, Jennifer and Nadine. We feel truly blessed to have been able to spend a week in this incredible place.

Coastal Perfection at Mbira – A Treasure Beach Gem

Our stay at Mbira from March 20–27 was an absolute dream. Traveling as a group of three couples, we were looking for a space that offered both communal beauty and private comfort—and this villa delivered on every front.

The experience began the moment we booked. Our host, Bruce, connected us with Treasure Tours, and the professional coordination started immediately. Debbian and Jeneve were outstanding communicators, meticulously helping us with meal planning and arranging smooth transportation from Montego Bay. They also arranged for a driver to take us around the area for a better part of the day to see some of the local places and beaches. All of the locals were very welcoming to our group sharing stories of their area and the recent hurricane that had passed a number of months earlier.

Upon arrival, we were met by Jennifer, Nadine, and Terry, who gave us a tour of the sprawling 1.6-acre grounds. Their warmth and hospitality set the tone for the entire week; we felt settled and cared for within minutes.

The house is situated on a stunning point overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The architecture perfectly captures the island vibe—comfortable, open, and relaxing. We spent hours on the deck, by the pool, and on the back patio, just watching the waves crash against the shore.

For a group of three couples, the layout is ideal. With 3,000 square feet and three ensuite bedrooms, everyone had their own private sanctuary. A highlight for many of us was the authentic Treasure Beach-style outdoor showers in two of the rooms—there is nothing quite like showering under the Jamaican sky!

The staff truly makes the Mbira experience world-class:

•The Food: Jennifer and Nadine are culinary artists. Having them help with our food ideas and prepare incredible meals made the stay feel like a true retreat. We all loved the meals prepared by these wonderful ladies and have continued to rave about the experience to friends back home.

•The Grounds: Terry keeps the pool and gardens in pristine condition and provides a reassuring presence as the nightly security.

•Exploration: We loved the scenic path at the end of the yard that leads directly down to Billy's Bay. Walking down to the sandy beach area and strolling to view the neighboring villas was enjoyable every day.

Mbira offers a beautiful exposure to the sea and a level of service that is hard to match. Whether we were playing a game or just gazing at the water, it was the perfect environment to relax and enjoy life. We cannot recommend this villa (and the incredible team behind it) highly enough. We are already counting the days until we can return to this coastal paradise!

A Dream!!

We stayed at Mbira with our three teens (14, 15, and 18). I was honestly a bit nervous about keeping our reservation so soon after Hurricane Melissa, but all my worries vanished the moment we arrived. When I walked in and saw that 180-degree view, I actually cried—it was exactly what my heart and soul needed!

The house was in great shape, and having ensuite bathrooms for everyone worked out perfectly. The food was consistently amazing; we didn’t have a single bad meal. Since I have to eat gluten-free, I was so impressed by how they ensured I had plenty of safe options. They even made me separate GF fried chicken that was easily the best I’ve ever had! Jennifer and Nadine were incredibly kind and helpful—they really took the stress out of the trip and made our vacation special. Terry was also great and took us on a fun afternoon trip to Floyd’s Pelican Bar.

Our driver, Pedro, met us at the airport and took care of us all week. We gave him a list of everywhere we wanted to go, and he made it all happen. I definitely recommend doing a tour of the Treasure Beach area right after you arrive to get your bearings. Pedro was always early, stayed with us at every stop, and kept his van spotless. It’s clear he takes a lot of pride in what he does.

The only downside for us was that the beds weren’t very comfortable. It doesn't change my 5-star rating, but a comfier bed would’ve made it a 5+.

I was in tears when I arrived and again when it was time to leave. This trip will be hard to beat, so I guess we’ll just have to start planning our next visit soon!

PARADISE

If paradise exists on earth, I found it tucked away on a sun kissed cliff in Treasure beach, Jamaica and it's called Mbira Villa. From the moment I arrived it was clear, this wasn't just a vacation. This was a whole experience. One that swept me off my feet, wrapped me in sea breeze and sunlight and fed me with soul soothing authentic Jamaican flavors, The Villa redefines luxury, not with stuffy elegance but effortless open concept magic. Imagine waking up in a place where the walls disappear and the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living melt away. You are completely surrounded by the Caribbean, not just a view but the feeling of it. The air is warm but never hot thanks to the constant sea breeze. And then there's the cliff, the Villa sits right on a cliff offering panoramic views of the ocean.

Sunrise to sunset is pure beauty. t here is what's makes Mbira

unforgettable, the team! Every single person on the team radiates warmth and a laid back Jamaican charm that puts you at ease. They make you feel like family and don't get me started on the food !! Think Jerk chicken with a smoky kick, melt on your mouth fried snapper. Oxtail, curry chicken and so much more. Every meal was a celebration 3 We booked this Villa through Treasure Tours and they thought of EVERYTHING. They provided transportation to and from airport, within Treasure beach, to and from Tours and even escorted us to a nightclub in Montego Bay!! Mbira does not try to hard, it doesn't have to. Its that perfect blend of rustic elegance and coastal cool. You won't find flashy resorts or over the top luxury here, you willfind a space to breathe, to slow down and reconnect with nature, maybe even with vourself. I left a piece of my heart there and I can't wait to go back and find it. When you visit, please take care of my heart ❤️

Jaw-dropping views!

Staying at Mbira was one of the most refreshing experiences I have had staying at a villa in Jamaica. It was good old fashioned Jamaican service in a setting that confirmed an authentic love of things Jamaican by the villa owners/designers. The service of the Team lead by Miss. Jennifer was top notch. The villa was decorated beautifully and so comfortable with 2 lovely outdoor showers and 3 beautiful bathrooms done in authentic Treasure Beach style. The food was so tasty and beautifully prepared and presented at each meal. The sheer beauty of the property, the location of the villa and the sea and sunset views are jaw-dropping. Cannot wait to return!

A bit of Heaven

A party of 6 people, we arrived on Sunday afternoon to the pleasant welcome of the courteous staff. We were shown our accommodations and straight away felt the warmth of this cosy villa. Not only were we feeling the immense warmth, we felt at home. Our initial meal sealed our first impression because it was a little taste of tantalizing flavor of a well prepared curry goat. Our stay was short but oh so sweet. Mbira comes highly recommended by all of us that had the pleasure of experiencing outstanding hospitality. Beautiful surroundings, warm and gracious staff. This is definitely a treat that will be repeated.

Relaxation

Our stay at Mbira was delightful. The food was excellent, prepared by the staff Jennifer and Nadine. The walk along the beach each morning was exhilarating and calming. Splashing in the sea as you meandered along. Taking a swim in the pool each day. Setting out on the veranda you had full view of the ocean. At night you can sit under the stars as you listen to the waves. The flora around is beautiful and well cared for by Terry We were a party of 6 and there was more than enough room for all of us. We had a great time. We will be back.
