Fabulous!

We've just returned from spending a fabulous 2 weeks at Lyric and are really missing the Villa + the wonderful Polly, Peta-Gay and Natty very much! What an amazing job Annabelle, Sarah and ‘the team’ have done to get everything ready for our visit, and so quickly after hurricane Beryl!

The meals prepared by Polly and Peta-Gay were lovely, they did all the shopping for us and magically fulfilled all our last-minute food and drink requests; even when we sprung last minute guests upon them who also needed to be fed!

It was an added bonus to meet Annabelle and Sarah (the Owners) and Rebecca (From Treasure Tours who we booked the Villa, Transfers and Trips with) who all stopped by the Villa during our visit, and both welcomed us and shared info about the Villa’s history and the Treasure Beach area in general with us.

We would definitely recommend Lyric to anyone wanting a totally relaxing holiday in Treasure Beach and can’t wait to book a return visit!

Magical. Highly recommend

We spent the most magical 5 days at Lyric in August. We basically had the beach to ourselves and the villa was perfect. Set on a small hill overlooking the beach there was a constant breeze so despite being there in the hottest month of the year we were always cool. The night skies were filled with stars and so many little areas around the villa to enjoy the natural beauty. All our meals were divine: cooked with lots of love, pure heart and lots of Jamaican flavour. Both our children aged 7 and 13 loved exploring the beach and the villa property. Highly recommend this spectacular villa!

A+++, Soothing, Beautiful, Spectacular!!!

We had the great pleasure of spending a night here while we were looking at real estate in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. What a wonderful host and tour guide Sarah was! This place has been in her family for many decades. Designed by her mother, the layout and materials are genius. The waves of the Caribbean will soothe you to sleep. The pool is the centerpiece the house, private and perfect, you can swim and watch the sea and the sun and the sky. Breakfast was wonderful beautiful and lovingly made in a local style. This was one of the most memorable stays we have ever had, and we’ve had a bunch of them.

Magical seaside Lyric Villa in beautiful Treasure Beach, Jamaica

Lyric Villa is on the south coast of Jamaica in the quiet community Treasure Beach with a stunning beachfront view and a magical charm. As a family with children who are 7 and 9 years old, Lyric has been perfect for us. We enjoyed morning swims in the waves, relaxing in the pool, rinsing off in the lovely outdoor shower, and playing around the property. Resting in the hammock while listening to the waves crash, after dinner strolls down the beach to search for shells, watching the pelicans dive into the water for fish, has kept us relaxed and entertained during our long weekend breaks from Kingston, which is 3-hour drive away [with breaks]. The property is unique in its seaside design. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a nice sized sitting room with books and board games, a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and other useful utensils. There is a table outside for meals and a lounging area when a break from the sun is needed. Sarah and Annabelle Todd helped organise our visit and were very friendly and professional. They were quick to respond to any of our questions. Polly, the cook at Lyric, shopped for us ahead of our arrival and prepared several meals that she left for us as we were social distancing at the time. She is an incredible cook, and we enjoyed the food she made for us, as we had in previous visits when she was working at the house. The gardener, Peta Gay, kept the pool and exterior property in pristine shape. Lyric Villa is within walking distance to Jake's boutique hotel and restaurant, Jack Sprat restaurant, Callaloo clothing boutique, and it is a short cycle to Great Bay for fried fish. It is a short car trip away is YS Falls, which we really enjoyed on a previous visit with its gorgeous 7 waterfalls that cascade into natural pools. Lyric Villa is nestled in the safe community of Treasure Beach, and we highly recommend it for families who love being in nature. It is a real gem, and we will definitely be back again for another visit!

Welcome to Paradise

It was our first time in Jamaica, and we had an amazing time. The place is absolutely wonderful with an beautiful view over the ocean. We felt like home from the first minute and enjoyed the pool every day. Petagay and Polly were amazing – very kind, and cooked excellent dishes. Each breakfast and Dinner were fantastic. The whole area is charming and the beach is exactly like the pictures with clear blue water.

We had one of the most relaxing vacations ever. This place will see us again :–)

Lyric- light, bright, and full of charm

Saying we love Lyric and the staff is an understatement! While planning and waiting for our arrival we are giddy with excitement! Each and every time we pull into the Lyric drive we are ready to jump out the door to hug Polly and Petagay! Then we scurry thru the courtyard and the living room to stand on the pool patio to look out over the sea and take in a deep breath of the salt water air. Relaxation immediately sets in. We know that during our stay we will get plenty of rest and Polly & Petagay will keep us well fed.

Lyric is a charming villa and the photos on here are a fair representation of what they offer for comfort. It is a great set up, inside and out, for 4-6 people. There is no AC, but with ceiling fans and open windows we sleep just fine. What the pictures dont show are the smiling faces of Polly and Petagay. These two cook breakfast and dinner daily and boy can they cook! If you want to try traditional Jamaican dishes sit down with Polly and plan a menu. And make sure you include dessert, yum yum! Each and every time we say it, “we leave fatter and happier than when we arrived”. Polly and Petagay are also a great source of local information. If it is your first visit to Treasure Beach they can steer you to some must see and must do’s. If you are repeater, you already know they can fill you in with the happenings since your last visit. They are awesome! When I get home, I always have withdrawals from being pampered by Polly & Petagay, but I also have withdrawals from their great company and conversations.

Lyric is truly a great place to unwind and fill your days with walks, swims, naps, reading, card games, eating, drinking, and then repeat. There is wifi so if you must touch base with work, family, or the news you can. Otherwise just enjoy the beauty of the peace and quiet of Treasure Beach because the vacation quickly comes to an end and then back to the real world. Planning the return trip!

We are always grateful to Annabelle and the Todd family for sharing their family home. If you stay at Lyric and have the opportunity to sit down with Annabelle she has wonderfully interesting stories not only about the history of her family home, Lyric, but about Calabash Bay and Treasure Beach.

If Lyric is on your list of considerations for a Treasure Beach stay put it on the top!

Jamaican dream

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful holiday thanks to Lyric! The house is perfectly boho chic. The house is so open and stylish complete with tropical flowers and a hammock outside. The best part honestly is the hospitality of Anna, Polly, and Peetagaye. These ladies took such good care of our family, and it was such a treat to have such delicious meals at our home base on the beach. We cannot wait to return!!

wonderfully relaxed, sumptuously fed and pampered, great views of the surf and horizon

We spent a wonderful few days relaxing in this very comfortable, laid back villa, with the unmistakable aura of the family who own and care for it lovingly. We enjoyed some great Jamaican home cooking from Polly and Petagaye, went exploring this delightful community, had drinks and meals out at 77 West and Jack Sprats, and slept like babies lulled by the sound of the pounding surf of the waterfront outside our window. Couldn't think of a better place to unwind and be pampered, and we'll be back!!
