Rainbow Tree Villa has long been known as one of the most beautiful and private villas in Treasure Beach. Now, after a complete renovation, it is also one of the most modern and comfortable. It has been featured in several magazines including Coastal Living in 2023. Besides its stunning architecture with vaulted ceilings and arched verandas all around, it also sits high on a bluff overlooking a pristine palm tree-lined beach with protected reefs just steps from its own 450-foot shoreline. The award-winning property, which includes five ensuite bedrooms, an open living area, indoor and outdoor gardens, pool cabana and bathroom, and a curtained veranda, affords an unparalleled view from its nearly five-acre perch. Hand-painted murals by a local artisan along with exquisite artwork collected from throughout the Caribbean add splashes of color to the dramatic all-white, 8,000-square-foot structure.
Our staff, including Tatty-Ann, Petrena, Malcolm and “Piggy” treat you like members of their own family. The ladies, who are renowned for their excellent cooking, prepare breakfast or brunch and dinner in the professional kitchen. Think curry lobster, jerk chicken, and escovitch fish, johnny cakes, mango bread, as well as homemade bread served alongside locally grown vegetables like callaloo and pumpkin. Fresh fruits from our own yard and the nearby farms make for fantastic tropical desserts like key lime pie and frozen treats like mango margaritas and banana sorbet. Fresh squeezed juices and locally roasted High Mountain coffee make mornings especially delicious.
Malcolm lives on property and will make sure you have a trouble-free holiday. While Aman, local expert guide and Villa Manager, can take you on memorable excursions down the Black River or to the renowned Pelican Bar.
Activities include, of course, swimming in our private pool, or along the sandy cove where turtles love to nest. In addition, we stock lots of games, books and a 55-inch television with cable as well as ping-pong, bicycles, and plenty of options for day trips.
It’s the perfect spot for a family getaway or group retreat.

Excellent villa with a great staff good sized pool and beautiful beach access. The local community also turned out to be a great part of our trip. The bikes for use on the property made it easy to explore and take in all the area has to offer. We plan to return again.
Beautiful house on a perfect setting - we loved sitting on the veranda eating delicious food prepared by the wonderful Miss Laura and Miss Jenny, laying in the hammock, and swimming in the perfect, crystal clear pool, while gazing at the crescent beach. Miss Laura, Miss Jenny, Aman, and the rest of the staff were all friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience - and took care of everything when we had a health issue and had to go to a doctor. The house is stocked with great games to play in the evening. And seriously, the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful staff, great food, nice property. too windy to swim the week we were there, but the beach was great and almost deserted, and , of course, we could use the pool rather than the ocean. A long van ride away from everything, but very relaxing.
We haven’t even left the property yet and I wanted to write a review. This was the vacation of our dreams! Rest, relaxation and we did NOTHING! The staff here is amazing and bends over backwards to make sure you enjoy you stay. We would get up, go for a walk on the beach (only saw one other couple in the am), breakfast was served on the covered patio, we would read for an couple hours, head for the pool, eat lunch, take a nap, head to the pool, and then read some more until dinner - which by the way was amazing EVERY night! Except to go reef fishing in front of the property we never left and never saw anyone except the staff and massage therapist who came out to the house. The perfect vacation for my husband and I to reconnect after a crazy busy year. Thank You Peter and Team for a great vacation. A couple tips: Bring cash - no ATM close to here. Bring Wondercide (a natural bug spray is great - can buy online) lots of little gnat like bugs at night. Don’t over pack - you don’t need much. Book a massage or two with Joshua (Peter can hook you up) - he is amazing!
This is truly a special place to stay. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were are always comfortable and happy. ALL of the meals were delicious and lovingly prepared by Miss Laura and Miss Jenny, who quickly became close friends of ours. The house is spacious, very clean and nicely designed to afford gentle cross breezes. I enjoyed finding my favorite indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and read or just take in the beauty of the property and it's surroundings. The views of the ocean, beach and bay are to die for. The grounds are nicely manicured and landscaped with native flowering shrubs planted and maintained by Calvin, another very kind staff member. Although we spent most of our time at the Rainbow Tree villa, we explored the surrounding areas and realized that the local community, both locals and ex-pats, were also welcoming and appreciated the charm and congeniality of where they live. A vacation that will forever be remembered.
We knew we were in for a great time at Rainbow Tree and we had just gotten off the plane! Aman greeted us in Montego Bay and drove us to Treasure Beach bisecting the island north-to south. A stop at Border Jerk for lunch was our intro to Jamaican cuisine and shouldn't be missed by anyone traveling that way. From the second we arrived at the villa we knew that it was only going to get better. Miss Jenny, Miss Laura, and Calvin greeted us and then proceeded to pamper us for our entire 8 day stay. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are. They prepared delicious meals and were always there just in time with a pitcher of lemonade by the pool or another thoughtful courtesy. You couldn't ask for a better setting. The villa was immaculate and comfortable. There are seating areas for every time of day so it is always possible to catch the breeze just right. The grounds are pristine and the landscaping is vibrant with flora and fauna. The views from the villa to the ocean are incredible. The beach is only down a flight of steps! The pool area became our go-to hangout for the week. Honestly, it doesn't get better than this. Our big excursion was a day trip up the Black River. Aman took us across the sea and up the river in his sturdy fishing boat. The river is gorgeous and the stuffed blue crab backs at Sister Lou's are not to be missed. We ended up at Floyd's Pelican Bar out on the sea for a rum punch. A great day was had by all. It was hard to leave this beautiful place and our new friends but it's good to know that we can always return.
The accommodations, people, and food were as advertised and more. Even though we only spent a week at Rainbow Tree Villa, it feels like we made relationships for a lifetime as the staff treated us so well. Miss Laura, Jenny, and Medita, along with Aman and Calvin, are true good souls who have a way of putting life in perspective and I for one feel richer after spending one week in their presence. Treasure Beach is aptly named and we really hope to return to Rainbow Tree again one day.
We had an amazing vacation - I don’t know where to begin to summarize our experience. Wonderful hospitality from Miss Laura, Miss Jennie, Aman, Calvin, Richie and others. Delicious meals prepared daily - best Key Lime pie ever - limes fresh from the property. Fun excursions to Black River, Pelican Bar, YS Falls and a day of fishing with Aman - my son and father-in-law caught 4 Kingfish cleaned by Calvin and cooked by Miss Laura for our farewell dinner. Calvin and crew built us an amazing bonfire on the beach. Lounging by the pool, swimming and snorkeling in the sea, and walks on the beach. I will miss going to bed and waking up to the sound of the sea and feel of the gentle breezes. Most of all, the most relaxing villa to “chill” while soaking in the 5 Star views. As we get ready to depart this morning, we are already thinking about our next visit to Treasure Beach and another stay at Rainbow Tree Villa where we can be pampered all over again. Thank you for such an authentic Jamaican vacation that we truly will never forget!
We visited Rainbow Tree for the sixth time and will keep going back. We love relaxing by the pool and hanging out in the hammock hanging from an almond tree overlooking the ocean. The beach is pristine and very private. On several occasions, we were the only people there and we never saw more that three other tourists. So peaceful! A world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The Staff, Miss Jenny and Miss Laura, are so warm and friendly. And they prepare authentic Jamaican meals using locally sourced ingredients. Much of the fruit came from the property! Go once and you too will be hooked!
